Discovering new techniques and trends around the culinary world is one of our passions. There’s so much to learn! One of our favorite ways to get the scoop on what’s happening in the food world is podcasts. Listening to them while we cook, commute, or just hang out around the house is simple pleasure. The best ones are free, enlightening and give us a glimpse into worlds we may otherwise never know.
In the interest of sharing, here are a few of four of our favorite podcasts in no particular order:
The podcast where the hosts “combine food and comedy in a bowl and stir it up until it explodes.” They pick a featured food which they snack on and share anecdotes about. The hosts have so much fun recording the podcast, you can’t help but smile when listening. Be careful if you’re drinking a beverage, as there is a good chance you’ll laugh mid-sip and have some shoot of your nose.
Self-described as a “program that celebrates food and its ability to touch the lives and feed the souls of everyone.” The breadth of topics keeps us tuned in. One episode may be a wonderful interview about urban farming (who knew!) and the next may be everything you ever wanted to know about an exotic ingredient you’ve been meaning to try.
The podcast that’s also a “weekly journey through the history of food.” Who knew there were so many fascinating topics? We love it because the show combines our two loves–food and history. Through research and interesting guests make for super informative episodes.
The show is a “fast and funny hour of culture, food and conversation designed to help you win your weekend dinner parties.” Celebs and food experts (the most amazing and stellar guest list you can imagine) come together to talk about food and so much more. Plus pointers to help you be the host with the most!
